Write page and write post, what are the differences?
The going to their old neighboring friends again and again is a sign of backwardness literally and metaphorically. Nostalgic obsession could be used to describe it too.
The goal to making a new life in a new country is to get out of the bind of environment, whether it is political or economics or cultural. The upward mobility is a struggle on the part of all new immigrants. There is no sign on the part of these people to work hard to improve themselves intellectually, culturally and economically at all.
However, in some case, reality and lack of determination have hampered them and they ended up slide back to the poverty pit hole again even in the new country. What a depressing discovery of reality for the looser.
The reason for all the record of these fleeting thoughts is to put them down as a way to capture them. Memory is not serving me well as before because of pressure of life. This is why the putting down of all fleeting thoughts is not such a bad idea. This is for the case of personal memory. The collective memory can be found in Wikipedia.

The one fact that I should remember after spend time reading the section of this book “Higher Arithmetic” is that what is the condition for a number to be divided by 3, 9. It is the sum of all the digits that made up the number must be divided by 3 or 9. For the case of 11, the rule is the combination of a0-a1+a2-a3+a4-…. is divisible to 11.
