testing of zoho writer the first time

December 15, 2008

I was surprise to find that there is an equation editor within the Zoho writer. How it support the Latex format is not clear. Where can I find more information of this writer beside the forum for it?

This is the famous Stoke theorem.

I was reading NewYorker today on the back ground and family history of Naomi Klein. She was called the conscience of the left by the writer of this article. Her family turns out to be originally come from NYC and immigrate to Canada as result of their socialist belief during the Great Depression time and the disillusion they have with the ideology when Stalin cooperated with Hitler and slaughtered a bunch of party members because of power struggle.

This is a long article details the deep belief and philosophical view of Naomi Klein and her husband toward political activism. They do not believe of socialist party as an organization.

What about the installation of the counter top for the house kitchen? Did I put down any thing on it?

I have the procedure on paper but not on electronic phone yet.  All the details on the tearing down part and the installation preperation and finally sink attachment are seen and tried by my bros.

The tear down process is a bit tricky when one does not realize there are two layer of particle board used under the sleek surface that made out of formica material.

One piece of regular particle board is used for the flat surface. However, the edge is raised up with an additional strip of the same particle and the sink area also raised to the same level with an extra piece of particle board at the top of the supporting wall and also used as a separator wall for the area undersink. I donot understand why. It could be just the act of matching the wall high. Or because the wall is not a strong support and need a bigger board as support and not a small strip under the main particle board.

When tearing down the old counter top, this underneath strip is torn apart as a result of using a crow bar. The normal procedure is using the crowbar to losen up the nail connection and then using the arm to pull it up. This is easily done on the small counter top on different on both side of a refrigerator. This is not the case for the counter on both side of the sink. They are attached to the bigger support board underneath with screwes not nail from a nail gun.

Then a big sheet of Formica was cuting into the shape and size matching that of the particle board and the size of the sink. Then it was glued to the particle board with a special type of glue.

The sink is first caulked under the edge and then set on top of the counter. However, there is some gap in the corner of onside and it can be level out by using the screwes underneath the sink. These screwes would pull the sink’s edge down flush against the counter. This works on one side but not on the other side because of there is no place to attach the screw on the edge of the bottom edge of the counter board. The gap finally papered over with a thick layer of caulking to close the opening/gap between the sink edge and the coutner surface.

The garbage deposer then had to be reset first by pushing a button then the shaft must be retorqued with an allen wrench right it the hole at the center of the bottom of the garbage disposer. This is something new that I donot know before. This is to free up the seize of the motor shaft by garbage build-up.
